Cairngorms National Park Authority recently received a 'change of use' planning application for a small hotel which the applicant wished to change to residential property, claiming that the business is no longer profitable. At planning committee level this application was deferred and the committee requested an independent economic assessment of the business. Alliance Hotels was commissioned to carry out the economic assessment of this hotel on behalf of the Cairngorms National Park Authority in March 2008.
